This course is essential for employees who work with or around machinery and equipment powered by various energy sources. Participants will learn how to prevent accidental startup or release of stored energy during service or maintenance activities through the proper application of Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
Energy Recognition & Control
- Recognizing hazardous sources of energy (Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, etc.)
- Understanding the purpose of energy control devices
- Procedures for dissipating stored or residual energy
- Correct use of locks, tags, and hasps
Roles & Procedural Steps
- Individual responsibilities related to Lock Out Tag Out
- Step-by-step application of LOTO controls
- Verification of isolation and "Try-Out" steps
- Safe procedures for removing LOTO and restoring power
Course Overview
Who can take this Course: Any personnel working in industries involving machinery or energy sources that require maintenance and servicing.
Validity of the Certificate: 1 Year
Course Duration: 4 – 8 Hours (Depends on Client Requirements)
Course Certification: Successful participants who pass the written and practical tests will receive certificates on Lock Out Tag Out.
